MY STORY
My name is Lachlann McDowell. I am a recent Industrial Design Graduate of RMIT University in Melbourne, Victoria. My goal is to change how people approach consumer products using smart and effective design methods and innovative design solutions, resulting in more sustainable products and better consumer habits.
I am fortunate to have discovered my love for industrial design back in the 9th grade, when I fell in love with all things footwear and footwear design. From those early sketches in the back of my maths book to now being a fully-fledged industrial designer I have always had one goal and that is to work with interesting clients and companies, translating their unique stories and helping solve their problems by turning them into effective designs that engage both the users and those surrounding it.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the work I have provided for you below and appreciate the opportunity to showcase my work and hopefully, begin the career I have always dreamed of.

OSAAT is acronym meaning “One Step At A Time” but also translates to “You can” in Finnish and is my university honors project. It is a footwear system focused on creating healthy habits and promoting movement in people over the age of 40 by creating a shoe that is tailored to their needs and connecting them with similarly abled athletes in their local areas.

This is my apparel and sportswear design brand that I started back in 2020, I would work closely with clubs to create uniforms that conveyed a story or expressed a new Identity.
